Firstly, the printer can be divided into two categories according to its working principle: on-demand jet and continuous jet.
1. On-demand jet printer
Drop on Demand, short for DOD type, this type of jet printer is usually based on large character jet printer: its principle is that the jet head is composed of several high-speed precision valves. When spraying, the valve corresponding to the font type opens and closes quickly. Ink sprays out by internal pressure, forming characters or graphics on the surface of moving objects.
The theory of jet printer was invented in the late 1960s, and it was not until the 1970s that the world’s first commercial jet printer was produced. At that time, only a few countries, such as the United States, France, Britain and Japan, could produce this kind of jet printer. Into China in the early 1990s, jet printer has gone through nearly 20 years. Nowadays, jet printer has changed from high-end equipment with a price of 200,000-300,000 RMB to ordinary equipment with a price of only 30,000-80,000 RMB. It can be used in any solid-state product production and processing enterprises, such as food, beverage, daily chemicals, medicine and so on. Electronics, building materials and other fields have a wide range of applications. Spraying code is a very small part in the whole production process, but it plays a very important role in improving the production efficiency, saving labor costs, saving product circulation time, tracking product quality and so on. In China, the early code-jet products were mainly used in aluminium cans of cola, Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola and some high-end beer products. The production speed of these products is very fast and the production volume is very large. This requires the same high-speed label products to be used in the production line. All factors determine the use of this kind of spray in enterprises. The increasing demand for codes has accumulated the initial customer resources for the suppliers of jet coders in the Chinese market.
